A High-Level Moderated Interactive Dialogue

Introduction

On the margins of the 48th World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland (January 23-26, 2018), UNAIDS, the Center for Global Health and Diplomacy (GHD), The Abraaj Group, Philips and Novartis, will co-host a High-level Interactive Dialogue on how the public and private sector may unlock blended investments and create sustainable business models to achieve universal healthcare transformation in emerging markets. This roundtable discussion will include leaders from business and investment firms, Heads of Agencies and Ministers of Health and Finance.

Objectives to Be Realized

• Uncover existing barriers to public/private, private/private and private/multi-lateral collaboration which impede the realization of SDG 3 and universal healthcare;
• Articulate a set of strategic and practical responses to overcome these barriers;
• Convince skeptics that the business and ethical opportunities outweigh the risks of investment;
• Craft a space that allows co-creation and collaboration for inclusive growth;
• Cultivate new partnership models, which will begin the process of unlocking blended investment and risk sharing in global health initiatives.
